SUMMARY ABOUT ME
My name is Amir Henry, I am running for Regional and Town Councilor for Ward 7.
I’m concerned about public safety—every element of my campaign is focused on making the main priority a safer and secure community for our hardworking residents.
For the past 25 years, I have worked as a software engineer, and recently as a software consultant. My work experience has allowed me to interact with people from all walks of life and has taught me to approach issues with a critical mind focused on problem-solving. I look forward to applying this same mindset to improve life in Oakville and Halton Region.
I’m engaged in several community activities with Seniors and youth programs.
The ideas I am putting forward will build a SAFER Oakville for our families and kids.
If I’m elected, I will devote all my time and dedication towards my job especially that my 3 kids are grown up, so this will be my full-time job. All my time will be dedicated to look after residents’ issues, respond to them either through emails or phone calls and take good decisions on their behalf.
I’m here to ask you to be your voice in Council, and Together, we can build a better Oakville for a stronger Halton— with greater safety, more services, and growth for our town.
